I woke up Sunday morning to the sound of Damien and Amelia laughing and sliding around in the kitchen. I smiled as I used my hand to block out the sunlight pouring through my large windows. I love my life. I glanced at the clock on my nightstand to see that it was about 9:45. Man, I love this job, but I’m so glad it’s Friday, I thought as I drove home from my fifth day of work. I drummed on the steering wheel with my fingers to the beat of Uptown Funk. Good thing I loved the song, or I’d be mad about how often they played it on the radio. I pulled into the parkin spot that came with my apartment and decided to wait for the song to stop before going in.
